How to wear a Cardigan...

The Do's and Dont's of Wearing Cardigans

Cardigans, cardigans. We all own them and I know we all love them! They're a women's go-to half the time when it starts getting chilly, right? So let's talk about how to wear a cardigan. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some cardigans are better for certain body types, and others are better for certain outfits. Let's not feel frumpy or make yourself look stumpy, Let's figure out when & how to wear them!
Xo!

DON'T!
A WAIST-LENGTH OR CROPPED CARDIGAN
-This is the most common cardigan-

So, with these cardigans, do not wear them with long tops. The contrast in lengths is not flattering, and creates a weird shape and proportion to your body.

DO!

DO wear them with a skirt, high-wasted or not, or a flare style dress. The hem on the cardigan should not go more than a few inches past the waist band of your dress or skirt. Keep that in mind when pairing your outfit.

DON'T!
Over sized Aztec Cardigans

Bulky! Bulky! This cardigan is bulky and wide by itself do not add to the thickness. Stay AWAY from the boyfriend jeans & maxi skirts. Wide at the top & wide at the bottom, just makes you look WIDE!! Noooo, thank you!

DO!
Instead do pair it with leggings or your skinny jeans! Keep those legs looking slim!

DON'T!

Slouchy cardigans or boyfriend cardigans... The longer length does not work with full skirts or dresses. The drapey length creates weird proportions with shorter dresses or skirts. Looks messy! Or you say, frumpy... See where the hem cuts off right at my widest point? No thanks, stick with the waist length cardigan, I mentioned above.

Instead DO wear them with jeans or pants to elongate your silhouette and flatter your figure!! The drapeyness will create nice long lines up and down your figure! Or even knee length pencil skirts, or shorts, as long as your bottoms are fitted and slim!

Thanks for reading my loves!
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!

Was this helpful? Agree or disagree?

Xo!!
